When an emergency request is published, BloodLD immediately filters verified donors matching the exact required blood group, active availability status, and a valid medical rest period (minimum 90–120 days since last donation). Emergency notifications are dispatched in real time to eligible donors within the closest hospital radius first.
Every registered donor undergoes identity validation (National ID / Birth Registration) and certified laboratory blood group verification. Donors also complete a health assessment covering weight, chronic conditions, and recent health history. After every donation, a mandatory rest-period countdown locks availability for 90 days.
Donor phone numbers and personal contact details are never exposed publicly on the internet. BloodLD uses privacy-protected in-app messaging and number masking. Direct contact details are only shared once an emergency request is validated and the donor explicitly clicks 'Accept / Respond'.

You can register your profile anytime. However, our medical guidelines apply temporary deferral rules: 48–72 hours after completing antibiotics, 6 months after a tattoo or body piercing, and 90 days following whole blood donation. You can update your availability toggle at any time.
